Stephen Griffin, CPA

Stephen Griffin is the founding member and Managing Partner of Griffin & Furman, LLC, a Louisiana-based CPA firm nationally ranked in the top 20 for Credit Union CPA services and the #1 Credit Union Marketing Share CPA Firm in Louisiana. A 1992 graduate of the University of New Orleans, Stephen brings more than 30 years of specialized experience in credit unions, state retirement systems, accounting, and individual and business taxation.

A long-standing member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Society of Louisiana CPAs, Stephen currently serves on the Society's Financial Institution Committee and previously served on the Northshore Chapter Board.

Stephen began his career in public accounting in New Orleans and founded Griffin & Furman in 2000 with a vision to build a firm that combined technical excellence with a strong family-first culture. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into a full-service accounting, audit, and tax practice serving individuals, governmental entities, nonprofits, and businesses—while becoming a recognized leader in the credit union industry. In 2025, Griffin & Furman was honored with the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce's All-In-The-Family Award, reflecting the firm's deep commitment to its people and community.
